An Interactive Online Event Teaching the Christian Community to be Effective Communicators
Hosted by Art of Eloquence, WriteShop, and Girl Nurture
Welcome to the 5th Annual Say What You Mean Convention! Learn how to gain the most from the convention by listening to this helpful 6-minute audio.

What is the Say What You Mean Convention?
Former President Ronald Reagan (born February 6th, 1911) was known as “The Great Communicator.” His vision, strong faith, humor, and ability to connect with people changed the world! Art of Eloquence believes that the Lord gives each child that same potential. Our vision is to use humor, hands on activities, and God’s Word to teach these same skills to you and your children so that you may unlock the power to Say What You Mean.
Studies show that communication skills are vital to personal and professional success, but even more importantly, the Lord put hundreds of scriptures relating to communication in His Word! Why? Because we might be able to get through our entire lives without giving a speech, but we cannot get through one solitary day without communicating something to someone! And the most important thing we are told by God to communicate is to share and defend the faith.
Each year we celebrate the Great Communicator’s birthday and his example of using humor-inspired, effective communication with an online convention where Christian families can come to have fun learning more about the skills the Lord talks about in the Bible!

What You and Your Family Will Learn:
Studies show that effective communicators do better in school, have deeper friendships, enjoy more successful marriages and careers, and are generally happier than their less-articulate counterparts. Christians who are effective communicators are more likely to share and defend their faith well and are less likely to be influenced by the secular world.
Communication skills are more than just making speeches or engaging in debates. And effective communication means different things at different stages of life. During the convention you and your family will be able to hear tips and ideas for more effective communication as well as try your hand at some of our contests. You will also learn some valuable tips and ideas for your homeschool at seminars and workshops presented by our sponsors, keynote speakers, and moderators. Download all our freebies and you may win prizes too!
Testimonials:
I really enjoyed the 2007 Say What You Mean Convention! The chats were fun, there was a LOT of information posted for free and the speakers. . . oh my. . . besides JoJo and Cindy Powers who are great ANY time. . . Gena Suarez from The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, Jeannie Fulbright from Apologia Science and then, the Big Kahuna himself. . . Dr. Jay Wile, Founder of Apologia! They all spoke with authority and grace on cutting edge topics for Christians. I wish it could’ve gone on for a few weeks and I can’t wait for the next one! –Carla
Our family would like to thank you for the wonderful ‘Say What You Mean’ convention. Our son listened on several days and learned much! It has been very encouraging to view your website and see the work the Lord is leading you to do. May the Lord bless you for all the hard work you did to supply homeschoolers with these much-needed communication skills to do the work the Lord is calling each of them to do. –Terri
